Introducing TIMI, a smart display instrument that replaces and simulates many electronic parts.

TIMI is an intelligent display instrument that replaces and simulates many electronic parts. Hundreds of built-in widgets allow you to build projects you never thought possible. Out of the box, TIMI simulates many typical components used in most breadboard based projects.

Out of the box, TIMI simulates many typical components used in most breadboard based projects. Save time (and money) by using TIMI to replace messy wires and expensive parts for your projects.
Whether a hobbyist or an engineer, you can now deploy hundreds of components without ordering additional physical parts.

Key Benefits of TIMI:

  • Library of hundreds of predesigned pages that are ready to use to design realistic GUIs.
  • Saves valuable GPIO pins of the host micro from connecting to physical parts.
  • TIMI reduces Clutter on Breadboards by simulating many optoelectronic and electro-mechanical components.
  • Brings excitement to boring projects by adding an extra dimension to your project with vivid graphics.
  • TIMI is compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, PICO, PIC, AVR, STM, ARM, Beaglebone, ESP32/8266, Propeller, PICAXE, micro:Bit and any other host that has a serial interface.

MatesBUS

Connecting TIMI to your breadboard is hassle-free because of the matesBUS, a 2×5 pin BUS that controls all the Breadboard Mates products.

MatesBUS products can typically operate in 2 different modes, Master/Host or Slave/Device.

Master/Host mode is where the MatesBUS device controls itself and the devices attached to it. This would be where TIMI-96 would be programmed in the Mates Studio IDE using the Genius Environment.

Slave/Device mode is where the MatesBUS device takes direction from an external microcontroller, connected over the Serial UART. This would be where TIMI-96 would be programmed using the Commander or Architect environments in the Mates Studio IDE.

Mates Studio

Mates Studio is an Integrated Development Environment designed for Breadboard Mates products, providing several options for graphical applications.

This includes four feature-rich environments that can be utilized to use existing or create new graphic user interface designs and write custom applications.

  1. The Commander environment enables the user to create projects by selecting page layouts from a selection of predesigned user interfaces from the Breadboard Mates team and community.
  2. The Architect environment enables the user to design projects with custom pages and widgets, giving more designing capabilities than the Commander environment.
  3. The Genius environment enables the user to design projects with custom pages and widgets and write code. This removes the need for an external host to control the display.
  4. The Builder environment enables projects with custom pages and widgets and builds the process flow using graphical/block programming, removing the need for an external host to control the display.

TIMI-96

The first TIMI model we are releasing is TIMI-96, a 0.96″ full-colour RGB-IPS display, boasting a full RBG (65K vivid colours) display with 160×80 resolution.

TIMI-96 is powered by 4D Labs Pixxi-28, an embedded graphics processor that hosts built-in services to view high-quality widgets, images, icons and even videos, all stored in the onboard 16MB flash memory.

We encourage you to browse our products and our Resource Centre to access datasheets, projects, tutorials, and user manuals.

TIMI will bring excitement to your projects!
